Canada, Don’t Give Up on Us.

Living with Cystic Fibrosis is exhausting. We spend hours a day on breathing treatments. So much our lives from the day that we’re born are filled with simply trying to fight the fluid that is building up in our lungs. It’s non stop. 

In 2019, history was made in the CF communtiy. A breakthrough medicine was released in the US that is giving patients all over the world a second chance. This medication is called Trikafta. This medicine is a gene modulator that transforms our defected DNA and allows our bodies to function almost as if we don’t have CF at all. The lungs stop rapidly filling with fluid, lung function rises and CF patients are gaining their lives back. The results are astounding. Unfortunately Canada does not have access to this medicine. We are left behind the 18 other countries across the world that have successfully to gain approval for  this drug. 

We refuse to be left behind. Canada, don’t give up on us. Helps us fight for Trikafta.
